This is our Holiday Special filmed in part at Universal Studios featuring Larissa Wohl, the Pet Rescue Expert, who takes us behind-the-scenes of the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family show. We'll meet Bentley, a rescue shihtzu from Paw Works in Ventura. Anna Griffen of Paw Works tells us more about the fine work of their adoption centers. Then we join Dawn Lopez of Kitten Rescue LA and meet some adorable rescue kittens including a polydactyl cat named Pandora.

Mitch Telson, former president of Petco, shares his collection of adopted collies and explains their unique qualities. We attend the Wags n Whiskers Festival and speak with tennis legend, Jimmy Connors, and learn about his adopted pets. The Pet Psychic, Laura Stinchfield, talks with a dog, bird and bunny and shares their thoughts about the Montecito Mudslides.

Sean Hawkins, Executive Director of the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, takes us on a tour meeting adoptable cats and dogs and he demonstrates the Open Paw program.
CC Beaudette Wellman explains the educational programs at Happy Endings Animal Sanctuary and how it teaches through horses, trust, friendship and love.
The Pet Psychic, Laura Stinchfield, talks with Electra, an adopted kitty from the Sequoia National Forest.

Season 1, Episode 10

Carla Tomson introduces us to Buddy, an adopted dog who was the answer to her family’s prayers. Sean Hawkins, Executive Director of the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, explains various dog and cat accessories and how they are effective. Then we take a tour and learn about SMVHS’s state of the art veterinary services. Catherine Remak of K-Lite radio, talks about her adopted.dog, Zoey.

Season 1, Episode 11

 

AnimalZone sits down with the legendary horse whisperer, Monty Roberts, at his farm in the Santa Ynez Valley. We find out how dogs that are considered un-adoptable have a home and a calling at the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation in Santa Paula. Audrey Pietre talks about animal behavior and introduces us to a pit bull ready to be adopted.

Dr. Jean Greek, one of America’s leading animal dermatologists, explains how to help cure skin irritations for pets. Maranee Landau introduces two of her rescues, Bridget and Penny. Maranee’s father, Kenneth Landau, was a top animation artist and created the art for Scooby-Doo, Paws Paws, The Oddball Couple and many more animal related cartoons. At the Wags n' Whiskers Festival are some amazing birds from the Santa Barbara Bird Sanctuary and we learn what it takes to adopt and care for these beautiful creatures.

Season 1, Episode 13

Jeffyne Telson of ResQcats, continues on her Greek odyssey where she has been helping 13,000 cats on the island of Syros. Martha Bull explains how she rescued Polo from an Indian reservation and offers some travel tips with dogs. At LA Kitten Rescue we meet Lindsay Reeves and some adorable four week old kittens. Lindsay explains why these kittens become so well socialized. The Wags n' Whiskers Festival shows some stunning greyhounds from the Greyhound Adoption Center.
