Executive Director Kristie LaRose welcomes AnimalZone on a tour to meet 45 rescued residents — from Haku, the gentle pig who outgrew his first home, to Coco, the glamorous turkey who strutted away from the Thanksgiving table.


Founded by four passionate animal lovers in their twenties — with the early help of a compassionate doctor and lawyer — the sanctuary stands as O‘ahu’s first non-profit haven for farmed animals, giving each survivor the life they always deserved.


Run entirely by volunteers, every papaya, watermelon, and vet visit is powered by love (and donations). Their dream? A fully sustainable sanctuary that educates future generations about compassion and coexistence.
